Giddy up for one of the best mocktail cities around!  Take a virtual tour with us around some of the hottest restaurants that just so happen to be mixing, stirring, and shaking some of the most unique mocktails around. The Texas heat tells us a few things: there’s always a rodeo around the corner, someone nearby is floating down a river, and the mocktails are shaked cold, ice cold! If everything is bigger in Texas, we’ll take a Tito’s Texas Sipper, make it a double and minus the Titos.

Head to these 5 restaurants in Dallas for mocktails that’ll knock your boots off.

Dallas Mocktail Restaurant #1: Moxies

• Athletic Brewing CO. Run Wild

Overall environment:

With locations all across Texas and even in Miami and Canada, Moxies has proven to be a crowd favorite time and time again. This is the place you take your big group of friends, because there’s something for everyone in their book of a menu—from steaks, to nachos, to pasta. There’s TV’s in the bar, plushy seats for the casual afternoon drink, or high boys for the semi-fancy first date.

Mocktail experience:

One of the bigger mocktail menus from this list, Moxies is shaking up herb-y and refreshing signature mocktails for when you need a break from that Texas heat. Additionally, they’re serving up 2 of our favorite no proof brews for when you’re watching the game. If you’re not a fan of the N/A domestics, give Athletic Brewing a try for a taste that’s scary similar to beer.

Dallas Mocktail Restaurant #2: Paradiso

paradiso in texas mocktails

308 N Bishop Ave, Dallas, TX 75208

Location: Bishop Arts District

Name of Mocktails:

• Silent Dove

Grapefruit juice, soda, lime, simple syrup

• Flight of the Bees

Ginger beer, honey, lemon

Overall environment:

You’ll feel like you just walked into Croatia with Paradiso’s European-inspired design! The pinnacle of this extremely charming space and brand falls in their courtyard garden, sporting boho seating and a mediterranean-tile fountain. Raining? Not a problem. The inside is as beautiful as the outside and they’re able to show it off from all angles, with floor to ceiling windows surrounding it. Check their Instagram for live music announcements!

Mocktail experience:

Simple yet delicious, Paradiso etched off that extra space on their menu for refreshing and photogenic mocktails. Don’t you love when mocktails get their own, special name on a menu? Our favorite is the Silent Dove for when we’re craving the punch of a margarita. Bonus: Ask for Tajin around the rim.

Dallas Mocktail Restaurant #3: Sidecar Social

sidecar social Texas mocktails

Location: 5100 Belt Line Rd, Addison, TX 75254

Name of Mocktails:

• Very Berry Lemonade

Sparkling water, lemon juice, strawberry puree, pure cane sugar, garnished with berries and lemon peel

• Ginger’s Island

Ginger beer, pineapple juice and garnish with basil

• The Limey

Lime juice, ginger ale, strawberry puree, served shaken and garnished with lime

Overall environment:

Buckets of (N/A) beer, patio space, and gametime is what you’ll find at Sidecar! Enjoy shareable plates of the best classic apps that never miss. Head there for a leisurely day drink or bring the party at night for live music and karaoke rooms.

Mocktail experience:

We see it as a great sign that more and more so-called “sports bars” are adding specific mocktails to their menu. Whether that was from the creativity of the bartender shaking and stirring behind the bar, or constant customers asking for something zero proof, we’re happy to see fun mocktails like the ones on Sidecar’s menu. Go for Ginger’s Island for a mock Moscow Mule, or end your meal with the Very Berry Lemonade for some major sweetness!

Dallas Mocktail Restaurant #4: Jalisco Norte

jalisco norte Texas mocktails

Location: 3858 Oak Lawn Ave #470, Dallas, TX 75219

Name of Mocktails:

• Ginger Lemonade

Ginger, agave nectar, lemon juice

• Blackberry Mint Soda

House blackberry syrup, lemon, topo chico

Overall environment:

Expect a warm and inviting traditional-yet-upscale Mexican restaurant with all your favorites! Conveniently located slightly outside of downtown so it’s not impossible to snag a table last minute with friends. Head here for a weekend brunch or on a weeknight for happy hour!

Mocktail experience:

Cocktails called “Ranch Waters” have recently made their way to the rest of the country after Texas kept them to themselves for a little while. A traditional Ranch Water is made with vodka, lime, and topped with Topo Chico mineral water. Simple, yet delicious. Jalisco Norte gives us a mocktail option that serves as their take of an N/A Ranch Water that they call their Blackberry Mint Soda! Just because you’re not boozing that night, that week, or haven’t for years doesn’t mean you can’t partake in a local drink favorite.

Dallas Mocktail Restaurant #5: HIDE

HIDE Texas mocktails

Location: 1928 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206

Note: HIDE is temporarily closed due to COVID, but is sure to be back on the map soon. Follow along on their Instagram for re-opening updates!

Name of Mocktails:

• Mocks-Cow Mule

The same pungent and refreshing ginger taste without the alcohol.

• Yacht Club

Clarified tomato juice, basil, lime, soda

Overall environment:

Finally, a place that gets its awards purely from the bar talent (mocktails very much included). HIDE has a couple awards under its belt, including Best New Bar in 2017, Bar of the Year 2018, and Best Cocktail Bar 2019. The vibes here are purely feel-good. Definitely go for the drinks, and stay for the food, music, and extra friendly staff.

Mocktail experience:

We love a mocktail version of a bloody mary that’s not straight tomato juice. The Yacht Club is a must for brunch! Something to remember before you go, the bartenders here work with ears open, asking you for flavors you like if you tell them “bartender’s choice.” HIDE uses chemistry lab technology that extracts the purest flavors from its raw ingredients, producing the freshest drinks, mocktail or not.
